The President's Hosts are a selected and specially recognized group of students who best exemplify the spirit, diversity, and mission of Hawai'i Pacific University. The University is proud to be represented by this group of students at various social and business functions, and other important University events throughout the year.
HPU employees nominate President's Hosts. Nomination forms are available to employees in a variety of mediums. Each University employee is limited to three (3) nominations per semester.
Nomination eligibility
Nominees must:
- Be in good academic standing (first and last semester students are excluded from nomination). Graduate and Millitary Campus Programs students may also be nominated.
- Be active in HPU student life.
- Be well-groomed, articulate, and comfortable in social settings.
Each nominee will be interviewed and recommended to the University's President for selection.
It is both an honor and privilege to be selected as a President's Host; those selected are expected to be ready, willing, and able to represent the University appropriately at a variety of functions. Nominations for spring 2010 are being accepted from Wednesday, January 20 through Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 5:00pm. Nominations need to be submitted to the Center for Student Life and First-Year Programs at MP 105.
